After taking on numerous rolls as a member of the Quinnipiac Baseball program under Coach Dan Gooley (09-11) Matt graduated with a degree in Management from the Lender School of Business. After school he decided to pursue his baseball passion and started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant for Pete Varney at Brandies University in the Winter of 2012. That spring, Matt moved on to coach the New England Blazers (13U) He then would coach New England Stampede (14u) and in 2017 joined the Route 2 Baseball Club where he would go on to coach 14U, 16U. Most recently Matt coached the 17U college prospect team as well as being the pitching director for the program. Matt is now an instructor and coach for the Baseball Unlimited Tigers in Waltham Ma.
An outfielder and pitcher most of his playing days, Matt Played 5 years as a pitcher in the Intercity for the Lexington Blue Sox winning 3 league championships under Rick DeAngelis. Although retiring from competition in 2017, Matt is still heavily involved with the Lexington Blue Sox and currently serves as the organizations Director of Player Development and oversees recruiting college prospects to play with the Blue Sox during the summer seasons.
With his experience in the OF, Hitting, Pitching and catching, Matt brings numerous coaching attributes to the game of baseball and a wealth attributes to the dugout!
